Satisfaction

Filed under: Dark Chocolate — Lori @ 4:59 am

“I’ve finished dinner except for a few bites of dark chocolate and sips of coffee. My stinging-cold toes tell me not to stay out much longer. It must be five hours, at least, since I first spotted the boulder that turned into a bear. “This quote is from a fascinating read about the author’s encounters with bears in Alaska, especially brown bears the color of chocolate. But that’s not why I’m sharing this with you. As with my previous post, I am more interested in the way the author notes that he has a FEW BITES of dark chocolate to finish off his meal with coffee.

That’s the allure I find with quality dark chocolate. I can enjoy a few bites, satisfy a need for chocolate and not eat the whole bar or half a bag of chocolate pieces as I might want to do with milk chocolate. I’m convinced the difference is with the sugar. I get started with milk chocolate and I find it difficult to stop.

How about you?
